Advancing Health Leadership
Leaders today require vision, courage, partnerships, and stamina to face the obstacles stifling productive change. Royal Roads University has responded to this need by offering a six-day Advancing Health Leadership course.
This six-day program combines elements of leadership, systems thinking and action learning to develop the strategic intelligence of health care professionals. Students learn to engage in dialogue about the five leadership domains that make up the LEADS in a Caring Environment Capabilities Framework; a national framework adopted by the Canadian Health Leadership network (CHLNet) and endorsed by the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL). At the core of Advancing Health Leadership is the Leadership Challenge™; a complex, current, unresolved, authentic problem or dilemma facing an organization from the health sector.
Advancing Health Leadership is the first of three courses in the Graduate Certificate in Health Systems Leadership program and can be made available in a variety of locations as required. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive credit towards the Graduate Certificate in Health Systems Leadership program and/or select degree programs at Royal Roads University.
