Leaders, both in established and emergent management positions, all share the same goals – to maximize leadership impact, to serve organizations and to leave a powerful legacy.

Who it’s for
This program is aimed at current managers and those who aspire to take on more significant leadership roles within their organizations. It is for those seeking to develop and refine their leadership skills to meet the needs of a changing work environment -- a work environment with higher expectations looking to a new generation of leaders to guide their evolution.

What you can expect from the program structure
Developing Leadership Impact is a five-day, on-site program designed to build knowledge and enhance personal leadership skills. Experienced faculty members guide you in an engaging learning environment. You will learn more about yourself, share ideas and insights with peers, apply tools and techniques and enhance your leadership competencies.

Outcomes
By the end of this program, you will:

• Understand theories and models of leadership and their relation to practice
• Identify and evaluate your own capacity to lead and to apply leadership theories, styles, and preferences to self-leadership
• Learn how to work effectively with people while adapting your style and applying skills to keep priorities in balance through the transitional phase of change
• Employ systems thinking to work through problems and issues on a variety of levels in your personal life and in the organizations and communities you serve
• Recognize patterns of thought and emotion and explore and develop creative thinking and feeling
• Challenge existing processes and patterns of behaviour
• Honour diverse communication styles and foster collaboration and openness within community
• Engage in critical reflexive practice to understand and enhance existing communication and leadership skills
