James D. Lynch, Director of Employee Centered Solutions, Intel Corporation, IABC Executive Accreditation Seminar, 2010
When I decided to do the IABC Executive Accreditation Seminar at Royal Roads University, I had three goals in mind. I wanted a highly regarded professional designation and the cache that comes with it; I wanted an opportunity to give back to IABC by taking on more of a leadership role with the organization and, I wanted to develop closer connections with fellow communicators around the world. Happily, I’ve been able to reach all three goals. I was successful in getting my ABC designation from IABC in May, 2010.
This year, through my volunteer work with an organization in Florida, I was able to present a leadership challenge to IABC which proved to be an exciting and valuable experience for the organization. And lastly, through the EAS, I’ve had the good fortune of developing a strong network of colleagues who continue to provide support, share resources and celebrate career milestones.
